A TEENAGE boy has died after being hit by a car yesterday afternoon.
The 13-year-old lad was rushed to hospital after the collision in Wolverhampton, but sadly died from his injuries.
Police are now appealing for anyone with information on the crash on Lakefield Road in Wednesfield to come forward.
Officers say the youngster was hit by a car at around 2pm yesterday.
The boy’s family are being supported by specially trained officers.

The driver of the car was taken to hospital and treated for shock.
He continues to assist collision investigators with the inquiry, which left the road closed for several hours.
Police Constable Karl Davies, from the regional collision investigation unit, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this collision to get in touch and help us piece together what happened.
“The young boy was taken to hospital, but despite valiant efforts by medical staff, tragically he died a short time later. I urge anyone who may have seen what happened to please contact us on 101.”
