AS much as I appreciate the fact Chepstow and Musselburgh are staging cards, they don’t do a lot for me.
I’m a more synthetic type of man so am off to Dunstall Park for Monday’s longshot sizzler.
I’ve been hankering after a sunny holiday in warmer climes for a while now, so maybe that’s what drew me to ISLAND FLAME (6.15, Wolverhampton).
Either that, or the fact that she’s down to the same mark as when she was last successful, at this track back in August.
Admittedly, her last three runs haven’t been nearly as good but she went too hard off the front end last time and is definitely better than that.
This is her second start for trainer Les Eyre, who’s he’s now had time to get to know her, and he has done well with castoffs in the past.

6.15 Wolverhampton – Island Flame: ‘She’s back over her favoured trip and I’m expecting the extra furlong she gets here to make all the difference’
What’s more, she’s back over her favoured trip and I’m expecting the extra furlong she gets here to make all the difference.
