Murder cops charge man, 41, after ‘caring’ mum, 50, found dead in Wolverhampton flat as grieving family pay tribute

A MAN has been charged with murder after a “caring” mum was found dead, as her family paid tribute to her.

Sara Bateman, 50, was found at a flat in Wolverhampton, West Midlands on the evening of March 30.

Cops pronounced her dead at the scene just before 7.30pm that day.

Her family released a touching tribute as they grieve their loss, sayin that she will be “dearly missed”.

Their statement, released via West Midlands Police, said: “There are no words to describe the pain we are feeling at this moment in time

“She will be forever in our hearts and dearly missed by us all.”

They also described her as a “loving and caring mum, sister and nan.”

The force confirmed that they had charged a 41-year-old man with Sara’s murder after arresting him early on March 31.

He is understood to have been known to her.

The man appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court today and was remanded for a further hearing at the same court on April 4.
