COPS have launched a murder probe after a 19-year-old was stabbed to death near a primary school in Wolverhampton last night.
The teen tragically lost his life shortly after emergency services discovered him in critical condition on Laburnum Road, in Bilston, just before 8.30pm.
The scene is still cordoned off today as forensic teams examine the area.
Green Park Primary School has informed parents about the stabbing and advised where to drop off and pick up pupils on the school run.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “Crews arrived to discover a man who had suffered serious injuries in the incident and was in a critical condition.
“They immediately began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite their best efforts, it became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
Shocked local, Hardeep Kau, said the horror has left her fearing for her children’s safety.
Mrs Kaur claimed: “I didn’t hear anything but saw an ambulance and loads of police rushing down the street.
“We’ve never had anything like this before it’s the first time we’ve had a stabbing nearby, I don’t feel safe.
“I’m really worried, 19 years old is no age. It’s made me more protective over my kids and the neighbourhood.”

Another terrified resident, Pete Turley, claimed: “On the park bench you get gangs hanging around.
“We have a problem with young people hanging out here, especially Stowheath Lane, that’s the hotspot.”
Describing the incident, Mr Turley alleged: “There were two young people on the ground outside my gate.
“A girl was leaning against the wall and there was a young boy on the ground.
“There were at least seven big police cars, an air ambulance car, a large ambulance and paramedics tending to the two people.”
A West Midlands Police spokesperson confirmed: “We are appealing for anyone who was in the area between 8pm and 9pm yesterday to get in touch if they saw anything.
“Any piece of information, however small, could be vital to our investigation. If you saw anything, contact us.
“Information can be passed on by calling 101 or or using the Live Chat facility at www.west-midlands.police.uk, quoting log 4878 of November 13.
“Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
