A memorial event is taking place in West Park in Wolverhampton.

Visitors have left flowers, candles, teddy bears and handwritten messages in tribute, with One Direction songs playing throughout the day.

Martina, 38, who travelled from Austria with her friends Sandra, 31, and Ines, 32, said: “We had to come for Liam.”

Sandra added: “My boss is nice, he let me go for this special event.”

The three women said One Direction changed their lives.
